Helambu Trek – 10days

Upon arrival at Tribhuvan International Airport in Kathmandu, you will be greeted by our representative and transferred to your hotel. After checking in, you can relax and rest. In the evening, a brief orientation session about the upcoming trek will be conducted. Enjoy your first night in the vibrant city of Kathmandu.

Spend the day exploring the cultural and historical sites of Kathmandu with a knowledgeable guide. Visit UNESCO World Heritage Sites such as Swayambhunath (Monkey Temple), Boudhanath Stupa, Pashupatinath Temple, and Kathmandu Durbar Square. In the evening, enjoy a traditional welcome dinner at a local restaurant. Prepare for the trek by getting any last-minute supplies and ensuring all your gear is ready.

After breakfast, take a scenic drive from Kathmandu to Sundarijal. The trek begins with a steady climb through the lush forests of Shivapuri National Park. Enjoy the beautiful scenery as you pass through small villages and terraced fields. The trail continues uphill to Chisapani, where you will spend the night in a local guesthouse. Chisapani offers stunning views of the Langtang and Ganesh Himal ranges.

Today's trek takes you through picturesque landscapes, with dense forests of oak and rhododendron trees. The trail descends to Pati Bhanjyang before climbing again to reach the charming village of Gul Bhanjyang. Continue trekking through beautiful scenery and quaint villages until you arrive at Kutumsang. Spend the night in a comfortable guesthouse, enjoying the hospitality of the local people.

This day involves a steady climb as you ascend towards Thadepati. The trail passes through dense forests, offering occasional glimpses of snow-capped peaks. Take your time to appreciate the natural beauty and tranquility of the region. Upon reaching Thadepati, you will be rewarded with panoramic views of the surrounding mountains. Spend the night in a guesthouse, soaking in the breathtaking scenery.

After breakfast, begin your descent through the forested trail. Enjoy the peaceful atmosphere as you walk alongside streams and rivers. The trail takes you to the beautiful village of Tarkeghyang, known for its ancient monasteries and traditional Sherpa culture. Explore the village and interact with the locals to learn more about their way of life. Overnight stay in a guesthouse.

Today's trek is relatively easier, with gentle ups and downs. Walk through lush forests, cross suspension bridges, and pass by terraced fields. The trail takes you to Sermathang, a serene village surrounded by beautiful landscapes. Visit the local monastery and immerse yourself in the peaceful ambiance. Overnight stay in a guesthouse.

On the final day of trekking, descend through forests and terraced fields to reach Melamchi Pul Bazaar. Enjoy the last moments of tranquility before taking a scenic drive back to Kathmandu. Once back in the city, check into your hotel and relax. In the evening, explore the vibrant streets of Thamel, shop for souvenirs, and enjoy a farewell dinner at a local restaurant.

Today is a rest day, giving you the opportunity to explore the lively area of Thamel. Visit local shops, cafes, and markets. You can also indulge in a traditional Nepali massage to relax your muscles after the trek. In the evening, join your fellow trekkers for a farewell dinner, celebrating the successful completion of your Helumbu Trek.

After breakfast, you will be transferred to Tribhuvan International Airport for your final departure. Reflect on the incredible journey you have experienced and the memories you have made in the beautiful Helumbu region of Nepal. Safe travels!
